Station 61
8047 Normandy St. SE, East Olympia, Washington
Headquarters station for East Olympia FD 6, this station was built with
the proceeds of a 1996 bond issue and formally dedicated June 20, 1998.
Designed by members of the department, the building has 8,400 square
feet
, four apparatus bays, headquarters offices, classroom, and living
quarters for community-based volunteers, non-community based volunteers
and the overnight Company / Battalion 6 Officer. It is situated next
door to the 1955-era station it replaced,
and the department's maintenance shop.
